A view from the road, a glimpse of the world.
Longing for the calm that comes from the lake.

This is the 101 building in Taipei on a Chinese New Year night in 2012. The fog was thick, the moon so bright and while walking around the display of Dragons laid out for celebrating the Year of the Dragon, this was what caught my eye.
A teacher for many years in the USA, Thailand, Egypt, Indonesia, Israel and Taiwan, I have tried to have a "full experience" in the countries I have lived in. I always try to improve my teaching through observing colleagues and from web-based resources. Today, the use of technology has changed the role educators play. Educational practices are changing in order to recognize and embrace all that technology brings to our programs and all that technology makes possible for our students. We wanted lifelong learners, independent learners. Now we have more of these independent learners because they make use of technology to collaborate and further their interests.
