Our Double Ten Holiday gave me few days to relax and reflect. I spent some time looking at some photos I took back in 2003 during this same holiday with some students and good friends. We went on a home-building trip to Phnom Phen where we built homes outside of the capitol and toured the Killing Fields and Tol Sleung. I guess I needed to relive what I did a few years ago to get a grip on all that is going on now in our world. Markets crashing mean different things to different people. I don't believe these folks give a hoot about stock markets but they do have a feel for the local food market, whether the market comes to them or they go to it. Life in Cambodia is different. And life is probably a lot harder there, given our perspective of life here. So why are they smiling? Why aren't we?
